Sky fixed wan IP

Post by streetlighter123 »

Hi
Sky have given me a fixed wan IP address ( for extra £ of course )
Then they said I have an option in my sky modem to lock my isp wan IP
problem is I am using a billion 8900ax 1600r2 so I have no sky modem fitted
does anyone know if there is a setting in the 8900 that can fix this wan ip, or has done this.

Normally the IP will be provided by Sky once you pass authentication, please double check your WAN IP (found under 'Status >> WAN) to make sure it matches the IP address provided by Sky. (if it does not match, try dropping the PPP connection (on status >> WAN page) and then reconnect, and see if the IP changes)
