Thx.

How long does it take for your device/s to disappear from the DHCP table??
It takes a few hours only.

Hi,

In the release notes it mentions a PPTP VPN change/fix? I still cannot browse the internet if I VPN into the router from my phone or another PC. By the looks of things DNS is not working for VPN clients. I can only browse if I use a websites IP address.

Is this issue going to be fixed in this release?

Thanks.

The 7800N will not pass DNS servers over the VPN tunnel, the only option is to turn off sending traffic over the tunnel or set static DNS servers to your VPN tunnel on the client device

Can I just confirm that this firmware is ok for fibre with sky?

I am currently using 1.06g (I think)

Thank you.

Dare I ask if there is any difference between 1.06.g and this version?

If you download the firmware from the start of this thread, there will be release notes within the zipped file.

Have to say that this version has been driving me round the bend since i installed it!

I upgraded to 1.06h a few weeks back, ready for going from O2 DSL to Plusnet Fibre and ever since, every computer connected as had to wait about 30 seconds to a minute after reaching the desktop to be able to go online!

You may say that its due to slow computers, but mine is very high end and connected directly via cat6, and I had to wait wait at least 30 seconds.

I have been considering plugging in the Plusnet router...really didn't want to!

Today I went back to 1.06g and this problem has vanished.

Also, wireless kept vanishing for no reason. I had the it set to WPA2

Oddly i do seem to be getting a slightly slow speed of about 2Mb/s via 1.06g but thats a small price to pay to get rid of this annoying issue ;)

Hi all,

On both 1.06g or h the blanking of the dhcp addresses assigned table happens, also there is a hang up in routing where the router just stops passing data between the Ewan and the LAN. Only a restart fixes this.

I am not using a adsl so it's not connected with any broadband provider and I can still see the Internet connected and working on the Ewan side on my Internet provider.

Can any one provide any clues.

Thanks in advance

Pete
