7800n & HG612

I am having problems getting my 7800n to work with my unlocked HG612 modem. I'm using EWAN have changed settings to PPPoE and am using bthomehub@btbroadband.com as username and no password but it won't authenticate with the modem. Any ideas?

I am having problems getting my 7800n to work with my unlocked HG612 modem. I'm using EWAN have changed settings to PPPoE and am using bthomehub@btbroadband.com as username and no password but it won't authenticate with the modem. Any ideas?

Please try the following steps

1. Login to the router
2. Click on 'WAN' on the left hand side (Basic Menu)
3. Change the 'Main Port' to 'EWAN'
4. Change the 'Protocol' to 'PPPOE'
5. Enter your username and password eg Username - bthomehub@btbroadband.com Password - BT
6. Click on 'Apply'
7. This is the important bit, the router should save and reboot, this is a must when making any WAN changes
8. Once rebooted check to see if you have internet connection
9. If you still have issues, please check the 'Status' page and under 'Connection' let me know what it says
10. Also you can plug a PC directly to your open reach modem, and attempt to dial in with a PPPOE connection to see if you are able to access the internet with the same credentials
