1.06h.dt2 on 7800N - factory reset

Post by slipd83 »

Hi guys,

If I update to the latest (as I imagine final) firmware, 1.06h.dt2, will I have to perform a factory reset afterwards? It doesn't mention anything here http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... 0n-106hdt2 whereas it does with all the other earlier releases. I'm currently on 1.06d.

Thanks.

As you are on firmware version 1.06d, yes it is advised to reset back to factory default settings once the firmware has been upgraded.

But then I'd have to reconfigure everything :(

Would it be worth it?

The older saying of "if its not broken, don't fix it" comes to mind :D

There's another one - "Why fix something if isn't broken" - "To make it better" :) but I'd go with billion_fan on this one. :)
