Sounds like a dead unit, when did you purchase it?

Edit; So BiPAC 8900X R3 is not wireless or BiPAC 8900AX-1600 R2 ,mods please advise what would at leats give me the same specs of the 7800 but with VDSL
Either Bipac 8900AX-1600R2 or Bipac 8900AX-2400

pugs66 wrote: Tue Jan 09, 2018 3:08 pm Thanks, both have the same interface\software? Got quite a lot of config to do, would it load a 7800 backup?
Same interface, you will need to manually reconfigure, you can't use a backup off the 7800 series on the newer 8900 series

Posting on old thread in case anyone else should drop by with the no power, faintly flashing LAN leds

Mine failed after a power outage withe these symptoms. The Power adapter measure 15V disconnected , but falls to a few mV when connected and the unit switched on. Replacement Power adapter and you're good to go.

H E R O !!

I would never have thought to check that.
7800DXL was working fine. I relocated it and when restarting, it appeared bricked.
New PSU and away we go!

Thanks
John

Same has happened to me today.
Can I ask where you got the new PSU? Make and model?
Thank you.

Found this one https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B ... UTF8&psc=1
Hope it's OK.
Not many to choose from after doing a search in the usual places and some of them looking a bit dodgy...

OK thanks. I did look on your web site https://uk.billion.com/ but quite frankly it isn't very helpful. Now I know where to go to buy a new router if I need one as there appear to be none at Amazon or Broadbandbuyer et al.

The PSU I ordered arrived and worked and I'm back up and running. :D
