Hi,

I have a Huawei E3372 4G dongle used to access internet. I tried to set up the port forwarding in 7800NXL, but no successful, could someone help.

The sim Card is static IP, and I can set up the port forwarding in Huawei R215 pocket wifi, just not successful in Billion 7800NXL. The IP for Huawei E3372 is 192.168.8.1, after plug it into the 7800NXL, 7800 router has the IP 192.168.8.100. The LAN ip for 7800NXL is 192.168.100.1, and the it was set up as DHCP server, the range is 192.168.100.100~192.168.100.254. The laptop connected to the 7800NXL and IP is 192.168.100.100, all the port forwarding set up in the NAT_virtual server. The lap top can log on 7800NXL on 192.168.100.1 and can access the Huawei E3372 on 192.168.8.1. Other client in the same LAN, which IP is 192.168.100.101 can log on the Lao top, but from outside, can't through the public IP access the laptop.

The problem is you are running double NAT.

When setting up the port forwarding rule on the 7800NXL make sure you select the correct interface. (screen shot example attached)

As the Huawei R215 is running in router mode (providing a private IP address 192.168.8.100 to the Billion ) you will have to put this IP address into DMZ (open all ports to the Billion WAN IP 192.168.8.100) within the Huawei R215 and see if that helps

Thanks for reply.

I use Huawei R215 has no problem. Now, I am using Huawei E3372 4G dongle. I couldn't find where can set up the DMZ.

You might need to check with Huawei if they have a firmware update that will support DMZ/port forwarding

Grave dig incase you're still around - how did you get your E3372 to work with your 7800NXL in the first place? Does it detect it as a (virtual) ethernet interface? What does your 3G/LTE config page look like?

My E3372h-608 doesn't work with my 7800NXL. The 7800NXL doesn't seem to acknowledge it, despite it powering up and the LED turning cyan as it should. If I plug the dongle into a MacBook I get the expected 192.168.8.1 action and Internet access.

I have software version 10.0.5.1 on the dongle and version 2.32e on the 7800. You?
