Billion 8800NL Randomly Rebooting

Post by Grimers »

Hello everyone,

So yet again I run into another issue with Billion hardware....

Every so often, the router reboots randomly. This isn't a DLM intervention, as none of the settings are changed. I'm using the firmware version 2.32e.d14.

Please could you take a look into this.

Thanks,

Will

The only thing I can suggest is trying the latest firmware

With this firmware please make sure you upgrade the device with factory default settings and manually reconfigure the device again from scratch.

Ah, I thought I was using the latest. I will try that. I hope it also fixes another issue I'm having which is WiFi connections dropping and saying the password is incorrect etc.

Hi Billion_fan, is this firmware also available for the 8800AXL? Even this device reboots itself after 50 days or so, annoying when the connection has been rock stable!

Thanks.

I'll request it as I was only provided with the 8800NL version

Thanks Billion_Fan. :) Also I'm having another recent issue where the 8800AXL keeps dropping the connection every 24hrs or so, could it be the PSU starting to get weak?

I don't think its the PSU, unless the device is rebooting. (you can check the system up time on the status page)

You might need to check the system log, so can see if the line is dropping or the PPP connection is dropping
