OK, so a firmware upgrade got interrupted mid cycle and now the 8800AXLr2 shows a green power light for a few seconds, then red (for at least the 10 minutes that I checked). Only the power light is on. No response to the wifi switch.
Before I chuck it in the bin, can anyone confirm my assumption that this unit has got stuck in recovery mode and therefore is unrecoverable?
Thanks
John

Below are the steps to recover your unit
1. Download and save the latest firmware to a location on your PC,
2. Set a static IP to your LAN card eg 192.168.1.200, subnet - 255.255.255.0
3. Once the router is turned on and power light is red navigate to the following page http://192.168.1.254
4. You will be redirected to the recovery page
5. For the 'Software File Name' option click on the 'Browse' button and select the firmware file you downloaded on step 1
6. Click on 'Update Software' wait around 10 minutes for the power light to turn green do not turn off the device until the power light is back on 'Green'
7. Once done set your LAN card back to 'Obtain a IP address Automatically, and Obtain a DNS sever Automatically.
Thanks

Billion_fan,
Thank you SO much. The procedure worked exactly as described and I now have my 8800AXLr2 back with me.
