8900AX 2400 setup as modem for USG - Callflow

Hi all,
I am trying to setup my 8900AX 2400 as a modem / bridge and connect it to my new USG Unifi router, i have tried setting the 8900 to bridging mode on the WAN interface but no data is getting through to the USG.
I am with Callflow and i have put the login details into the USG and set it on pppoe.
I have tried Ethernet pot 1 and the EWAN port to connect to USG, still no data getting through the 8900.
Do i have to do anything with IP addresses and DHCP?
Anyone have any ideas.
