Routers

Post by notsnarb »

Hi I have been advised to buy a Billion router for my home. Looking on teh website there are loads and I'm confused as to which one is best. I use Talk Talk as my IP with fibre optic. I also want to put a router spliter (I think that's the terminology) in the attic so I can feed the bedrooms for Smart TVs. Any advice please.

Have a look at the Bipac 7800DXL found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Billion-7800DXL ... _pr_sims_i

The 7800DXL will connect to your open reach modem (talktalk modem) with the 7800DXL set to 'Ethernet' mode

If the 7800DXL and talktalk modem is located downstairs, the only option is use homeplugs to extend the network upstairs (if the wireless signal does not reach your attic or if you don't have a wired connection to your attic)

The Bipac P108 are the fastest homeplugs Billion manufacture

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Billion-BiPAC-P ... Bipac+p108

They are sold as a pair, one connects to the router (7800DXL) and the other in your attic connected to your Smart TV
