I have just successfully created a VPN connection to a 7404 VNOX. This router is in our house for SOHO use. It is only me that wants to connect to itdirectly from hotel rooms so I can access UK only sites e.g.BBC iplayer and use skype in hotels which are incresingly blocking this service.
My router appears to have fallen asleep. How can I reactivate it remotely when no one is at home to re-boot it? I have rtied a ping to my ADSL IP address but I get no response. I have phoned my voip lines but this does not wake it up either
HELP PLEASE.
Many thanks

Re: Wake up router remotely
To Wake on LAN' is a method of making your PC boot (turn on) from an idle/standby state when it receives a special type of service provided by it .
