7301 1 to 1 NAT setup issues

Post by mark299 »

I have 4 additional useable public ip address from my ISP.

I am trying to setup one of these useable addresses to a computer on my network.

I did the following.

I added one of the useable ip address from the block in IP Allias page, and subnet mask and selected security type internal.

Then in virtual servers page, i selected one to one nat, and then selected Nat type as public to private.

Then added the ip address range.

Then added an entry into the one to one nat table.

Here i added the new useable public address and mapped it to the internal ip (fixed ip of computer); selected tcp/udp as protocol... setup ports to mapped from 10 - 40000 from external to redirect. Saved and restarted router.

Now when i goto the computer and goto whatismyip.com ; it still shows my main ip address and not my new public ip i mapped? Why is this? what have i done wrong? Please help.

Can you confirm the model number of your device and the firmware/software version you are running?
