7402R2 into bridge mode to use as ADSL modem only

Post by rickam2 »

my 7800 finally died (I loved that router), and have set up the spare router (7402R2) to tie me over but I'm not getting along with it at all (I especially dislike the Firewall), and I can't get the PPTP VPN up and running (using the same settings as I was using on the 7800).

It's it possible to configure the 7402R2 into bridge mode so that my enterprise router can use it as an ADSL modem only?

at the moment I'm looking at the WAN services setting over to "RFC 1483 Bridged" but this does not disable the other Routing features of the device (from what I can see). Does anyone know of a way?

- all best and many thanks
