Internet dropping out at 2am each morning

Post by kevftw »

Hi all,

This might be something entirely ISP side so I'll be enquiring with them as well, but I was hoping someone might be able to glance over the logs below from my router when the connection is dropping out and see if there's anything relevant that might be to do with the router or my setup.

The problem as in the title, is basically between 02:00 and 02:06 so far, almost every day, the internet will drop out for 2-3 mins and then continue as normal. Not the end of the world obviously but if I'm still online at that time or downloading something it's a pain.

I've tried updating the firmware to 2.52.d41 which included the reset with factory defaults option but doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Looks like your ISP might need to check into the LCP timing issue reported by the router, pppd:LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests, also from the logs the line lost sync, then when it attempts to reconnect it gets the pppd:LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests issue
