I've started getting entries in the Log as below:
Nov 24 18:17:03 daemon crit kernel: eth1 (switch port: 3) Link DOWN.
Nov 24 18:17:03 daemon info kernel: br0: bridge group port 2(eth1) entering disabled state
Nov 24 18:17:05 daemon crit kernel: eth1 (switch port: 3) Link UP 100 mbps full duplex
They recur every few hours.
On Port 3 I have a TPLink Archer C8, running DD-WRT, and configured as an access point.
I have another similar C8 on Port 1, showing no such entries.
Does this point to a faulty C8 on Port 3?

UPDATE
_______
I swapped the C8 router on Port 3 for another, But I'm still getting similar errors as below
Nov 25 07:08:25 daemon crit kernel: eth1 (switch port: 3) Link DOWN.
Nov 25 07:08:25 daemon info kernel: br0: bridge group port 2(eth1) entering disabled state
Nov 25 07:08:30 daemon crit kernel: eth1 (switch port: 3) Link UP 100 mbps full duplex
Does this point to a Billion Router error?

Re: Log Entry errors on 8800NL
I just checked the 8800NL v1, and the only I time see this log is when the Ethernet connection is disconnected from the port.pintosal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 7:18 am UPDATE

Have you tired with different Ethernet cable? Or tired plugging a PC to port 3 and check the logs again?

Re: Log Entry errors on 8800NL
I tried connecting other ethernet devices and swapped connections around. The errors persisted. I'm also seeing quite a lot of DSL errors.
As I'm with BT, I have swapped out the 8800NL and replaced it with the originally supplied BT Home Hub 5.
All errors have now ceased, both on the DSL line side, and the in-house ethernet devices.
So, it looks like the 8800NL is now faulty. Pity, as it's given me a good few years of reliable service.
Is there anything I can do with it?
