3G/4G/LTE dongle not connecting with latest firmware

The Huawei e3276 4G LTE will not connect on 8900AX2400 & 8700VAX routers with the latest firmware (factory reset)

This dongle connects perfectly and reliably on the 2018 firmware (8900AX2400 - 2.52.d30) / (8700VAX - 2.52.d7)

Any ideas anyone?

Are you able to capture the logs from the latest firmware version and 2.52.d30, so our engineers can compare the logs and see what the issue is.

You will need to set the logs to 'Debugging' mode first below are the steps

1. Login to the router
2. Click on 'Configuration >> System >> Configure Logs'
3. Change the 'Log Level and Display Level' to debugging
4. Click on 'Apply'
5. Insert the dongle, wait 3 minutes, save the system log to wordpad/notepad file
6. Label to the file with the firmware version
7. Send us both copies of the logs (one from the latest version and one from 2.52.d30)

Regarding the 8700VAX, this is not a UK model so I can't help on that. (you will have to check with your regional support team or email support@billion.com)

Thanks for the logs, I have forwarded them over to our engineers.

Regarding First International support, email support@billion.com and let them know you haven't received a reply from the local vendor, so you are requesting support directly.

Hi mate,
No go. I've attached the log.....log.zip
Our engineers are asking if you can change the log/display level to debugging, (Configuration >> System >> Configure Log)
Also try disabling the PPP option within the 3G/4G LTE WAN option as shown on the attached screen shot, if you still have issues please send a copy of your debugging logs.
